A recent study has analysed the profile pictures of over 66,000 Twitter users to conclude what your profile picture says about your personality. Using the base psychological traits of openness, neuroticism, extraversion and agreeableness, the researchers were able to deduce what kind of pictures certain personality traits are likely to post on their social media.
See what your profile pic is and compare it with the below…
Your profile pic doesn’t have any people in it. You’re more likely to be open to trying new things and adventure.
Your profile pic has people in it, but they are mostly displaying serious-looking emotions. You are more likely to be prone to anxiety and emotional instability, however may also display openness.
Your profile pic has one or more faces in it, displaying positive emotions. You are most likely to be an extravert, and very friendly and sociable, displaying high levels of conscientiousness.
Your profile pic is colourful and conveys emotion. Again, you’re probably more likely to be an extravert and in touch with your feelings.
Your profile pic is dark or colourless. You may have higher levels of neuroticism and get stressed easily.
Your profile pic is blurry and bright. You’re all about social harmony and cooperation, getting along with just about anyone.
