Mexico has long been one of my most-loved travel destinations, and my first time visiting Cabo San Lucas was nothing short of magical.
Nestled along the idyllic coastline between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo, sits a sea of stunning, luxury resorts. Travellers are truly spoilt for choice along what’s being aptly dubbed the tourist corridor, so for the Four Season’s second venture in the region they wanted to “raise the bar”. That’s exactly what they did.
So what sets this luxury resort apart? Where others rely on the golden corridor’s expansive and scenic lure, the Four Seasons finds balance in generous, contemporary spaces that still feel warm and intimate.
Inspired by Pueblos Mágicos–Mexican towns known for their enchanting qualities–you will be so spellbound by Four Seasons’ Cabo San Lucas At Cabo Del Sol that you’ll never want to leave (take it from me).
Stay
In such a beautiful beachfront destination, to spend more than the minimum required amount of time in your room should feel wasted, not not here.
Each of the Four Seasons’ rooms offer breathtaking outlooks to the Sea of Cortez and a generous amount of space, designed to blend architecture and environment.
The Ocean-View Casita Room with Plunge Pool was a standout, seamlessly transitioning in and outdoors through floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors, private pool and outdoor shower so tranquil you’ll wonder how you’ll ever confine yourself to four walls while bathing again.
Dine
For foodies, any of the eight original-concept dining and drinking experiences will prove a culinary delight. Under the guidance of Executive Chef Miguel Baltazar and Food and Beverage Director Matt Myers, dining experiences span barefoot poolside lunches to stunning sunset drinks at Sora Rooftop Bar which features open fire pits and sweeping coastal views.
The recently opened Cayao from Chef Richard Sandoval is a must, harmonising Nikkei cuisine by bringing together the flavours of Japan and Peru, to create unique dishes and flavour combinations you’ll never have experienced before.
If you’re looking to immerse yourself further in the Baja Riveria, Palmerio focuses on locally sourced seafood and regionally grown produce.
Rest & Recreation
There’s no shortage of experiences to indulge or embrace in, you simply have to choose your vice. For those looking to relax, the Tierra Mar Spa is the pinnacle of tranquility, featuring ten private rooms and relaxation areas, it’s expertly designed to maximise privacy and rejuvenation. The spa combines the power of indigenous botanicals and their healing properties and products from both renowned skincare brand 111SKIN and Apotheca Beauty.
For those seeking something a little more adventurous, the swimmable beach offers crystal clear water ideal for snorkelling, scuba diving and freediving or you might consider shoreline surf-fishing, SUP (stand-up paddle), boogie boards, kayaks, or a water-skimming Schiller bike more your speed.
For moments in between, Three large pools and hot tubs, including one adults only, are the perfect place to sit back, soak up the sunshine, scenery and a few margaritas. There’s an abundance of shaded loungers to choose from or for those who love to spend an entire day pool-side (me) the private cabanas are simply divine.
