Fans of the mega-popular teen romance flick To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before can now rejoice in glee because it looks like there’s officially a sequel in the works!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the idea of a sequel for one of the most beloved movies on Netflix was first on the agenda when Paramount Pictures and Netflix met to talk about their movie deal.
Here’s what we know so far:
According to the film’s director, Susan Johnson, the sequel on the last boy to receive one of Lara Jean’s letters, John Ambrose McClaren. Johnson told ET back in August, “Relationships are hard to navigate and they’ll find themselves in one. And they’ll discover what the next person might bring in John Ambrose McClaren.”
The second book is titled, P.S. I Still Love You, and features all of the original characters from the first movie.
Yes, that means we will most likely get to stare at Noah Centenio who plays the lead male character, Peter Kavinsky, once more.
The lead character’s actress, Lana Condor, is 100% keen on a sequel and has even taken to Instagram to hint at the news, as well as in interviews.
“I would love to. I haven’t heard of anything official, but I’ve heard some very positive things. I think it all comes down to if people watch the movie and if they’re vocal about it in a positive way. So, we’ll see. I would love to do a second and a third one”, Lana told Teen Vogue.
Based on the book, we can expect the sequel to continue following Lara Jean and Peter’s relationship, however with a new love-interest’s entrance, how will LJ cope?!
