Australia’s original Bachelor – and recent newlywed – Tim Robards has taken to Instagram to announce he is joining the cast of Neighbours.
“You may have been wondering why I’m flying back and forth to Melbourne every week…” he wrote. “Cats out of the bag… I’ve been quietly been putting In a lot of hard work and training behind the scenes and had an audition right before my wedding… must have done alright… I booked the Job!”
“So stoked and honoured to be heading to Ramsay St, joining the team and becoming part of the Aussie icon that is @Neighbours Big thanks to all the encouragement from my family and support team to always expand my comfort zone and chase my dreams!”
According to Channel 10, the 35-year-old fitness guru will be playing the role of Pierce Greyson, a wealthy investor who “has more on his mind than just making money… romance is also on the cards and hearts could be broken”.
They describe his character as a mix of “Harvey Specter, [a] sprinkle of Christian Grey and little bit of Robert Redford”.
