This Is The Best Age Gap In A Relationship

Interesting...

They say age is just a number when it comes to relationships, but science says its much, much more.

A study conducted by Emory University in Atlanta found that there’s an ideal age difference that can strengthen your chances of a lasting relationship.

From the results of over 3000 people, the researchers found that the bigger the age gap, the higher the chance you have of breaking up. Ouch.

The study found that couples with a five-year age gap are 18 percent more likely to split than a couple of the same age.

Couples with a ten-year gap were 39 percent more likely to break up, and those with a 20-year age gap were 95 percent more likely to end their relationship.

And that ideal age gap? Apparently it’s just one year difference between partners.

Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean you’re headed for divorce if you and your partner aren’t close in age.

One of the study’s researchers, Hugo Mialon, said: “It could just be that the types of couples with those characteristics are the types of couples who are, on average, more likely to divorce for other reasons.”
