In her 66 years as monarch, the Queen has met her fair share of celebrities, but it appears we finally know her favourite.
On Tuesday, HRH couldn’t wipe the grin off her face as she shook hands with resident British babe, David Beckham.
The photo instantly went viral with captions such as, “Queen Elizabeth’s face when meeting David Beckham is all of us if we met David Beckham” and “Find someone who looks at you the way Queen Elisabeth II looks at David Beckham.”
But the video of the moment is even better, showing the Queen’s smile growing as she heads towards Becks.
But, this isn’t the first time her majesty has met the football star.
In fact, they’ve spent quite a bit of time together over the years – and, of course, both Victoria and David were invited to the 2011 royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and the 2018 nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The royals may be hard to relate to in a lot of ways, but a crush on David Beckham? Now that’s something we all can understand.
