With graphic rape scenes and violence against women, the topics the series covers are often incredibly hard to watch. So just imagine filming them.

Sydney Sweeney, who plays Nick’s new concubine wife, Eden, on the show has revealed that the cast has a few tricks to getting through those tough scenes, including singing Taylor Swift songs.

“The cast and the crew are beyond hilarious, and we would just ‘goof off’ whenever the cameras weren’t rolling or sing Taylor Swift – Max Minghella (Nick) knows all of the words to the new Taylor Swift album!” the actress told Glamour.

“Some of the other crew members are fans of The Bachelor so every week, I was getting updated on what was happening,” she continued.

“I was also doing school at the time, so I would have to run to the trailer, grab some books and try to read as much as I could before I had to go back on set. So there was a lot of things distracting me from the horrors that we were actually filming.”

Previously, Yvonne Strahovski, who plays Serena Joy, revealed she finds herself constantly apologising to Elisabeth Moss (Offred) after intense scenes.

“I apologise a lot to Elisabeth Moss on set. I apologise to everyone. I feel like it took me a little longer to win people over off camera because I’m always worried people will think I’m like that in real life,” she said.
