If you were addicted to thriller You and dark comedy Dead To Me, we’ve found your next TV obsession: HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco.
The eight-episode dark-comedy-thriller series is based on the novel of the same name by New York Times best-selling author Chris Bohjalian. Cuoco plays Cassie, a flight attendant who wakes up in a bed with a dead man after a luxurious night out—but no recollection of what happened, telling the story of how an entire life can change in one night.
Cuoco first read the book three years ago and decided to fight for the rights to the story. “Something told me to jump on this, so once [my team] started getting into it, I read it really quick and thank goodness I loved it,” she said.

While production was halted due to the pandemic, it’s predicted to premiere later this year.
“We are looking to get back up and running at the end of August, but the health and safety of our cast and crew are our top priority,” executive producer and co-showrunner Steve Yockey announced at the Television Critics Association virtual press tour. “We wouldn’t be going back if we didn’t think we could keep everyone healthy,” Cuoco added, “We’re so close.”
It’s only been signed on as a limited-series, but Cuoco has plans for more seasons to come. We’ll keep you updated on when the series premieres!
