Maid star Margaret Qualley is on the fast track to take over Hollywood. Her latest move? Starring and executive producing the highly-anticipated psychological thriller The End of Getting Lost.
While the film is currently in early development, the project already has industry heavyweights attached to it, including Dakota Johnson, who will serve as producer, and Turkish director Deniz Gamze Ergüven.
According to Deadline, Paul Mescal is currently in discussion to appear alongside Qualley in the film.
Mescal and Johnson have previously worked together on Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut The Lost Daughter, with Johnson revealing to Vogue that she’s “a super fan” and considers him a “heavenly being”.
While we’re not sure whether Johnson will have any screen time—she has already starred in her fair share of thrillers, including European horror Suspiria—given Qualley and Mescal’s respective performances in Maid and Normal People, we’re catapulting this to the top of our ‘must watch’ list.

What Is ‘The End Of Getting Lost’ About?
The End Of Getting Lost is based on the upcoming novel of the same name, written by Robin Kirman. Much like the book, the film will follow newly wed couple Gina and Duncan as they honeymoon through Europe in the 1990s.
While this synopsis sounds ideal at first, the film takes a dark turn when Gina gets a mysterious head injury that causes her to lose memory of her marriage entirely.
Per the official synopsis, the story then “toggles between past and present — and husband and wife — to uncover a portrait of love’s powers and dangers. As the two hop borders across Europe, their former lives threaten to catch up with them while the truth becomes more elusive.”
With the novel set to be released on February 15, we’re planning on devouring the book to find out what happens for ourselves.
Who Will Star In ‘The End Of Getting Lost’?
Margaret Qualley, who you’ll recognise as Alex from Maid, will star as Gina, with Normal People’s Paul Mescal set to star as Duncan.
There’s no further news of who else is attached to the project, however as the rest of the cast is announced we will continue to update this piece.
When Will ‘The End Of Getting Lost’ Be Released?
The End Of Getting Lost is currently in pre-production. As the book will come out later this month, we can expect a release date to come soon.
