With season four of Netflix’s The Crown finally within arm’s reach, a new trailer has given us a glimpse into how the royal drama will unfold, with all of us particularly keen on Emma Corrin’s stint as Princess Diana.
The newly-released trailer sets an ominous tone for the relationship between Princess Diana and Prince Charles (played by Josh O’Connor) and their life in the public eye.
We hear their vows eerily played against snippets of dramatic scenes of fights and tears, foreshadowing the real-life breakdown of the couples’ marriage.
We’ll also see Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter reprise their roles as Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret. With series newcomer Gillian Anderson playing Margaret Thatcher during her rise to leadership in the 1970s.
We also see further footage of Emma Corrin looking every bit as charming and stylish as the late Princess Diana.
Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki has been confirmed to take over the coveted role for seasons five and six.
