Sarah Michelle Gellar
Character: Buffy Summers
Sarah Michelle Gellar was the heroine of teenage girls everywhere when she hit the screens as Buffy, just a regular girl navigating high-school by day and kicking serious vampire-butt by night. During her downtime on Buffy, SMG capitalised on her teen queen fame starring in classics including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions. She then went on to star in The Scooby Doo movies and The Grudge and The Grudge 2 before returning to her TV roots in The Ringer and The Crazy Ones. Off-screen Sarah Michelle married fellow 90s heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. and they have two children, Charlotte Grace and Rocky James.
David Boreanaz
Character: Angel
David Boreanaz played Angel, the seriously hot vampire with a conscience. He was the object of Buffy (and all of our) desires – so much so that he ended up getting his own spin-off show, Angel. Following his time on show he went on to star in films including Valentine and I’m With Lucy, before landing a role in hit crime drama Bones. David has been married twice and has two children, Jaden Rayne and Bella.
Alyson Hannigan
Character: Willow Rosenberg
Alyson Hannigan played ultimate BFF Willow and following the hit show her career went from strength to strength, landing roles in all the American Pie films, Boys and Girls and hit comedy series How I Met Your Mother. Alyson is married to actor Alexis Denisof and the couple have two daughters, Satyana Marie Denisof and Keeva Jane Denisof.
Nicholas Brendon
Character: Xander Harris
Nicholas Brendon played Xander Harris the nerdy best-friend who was forever trying to get out of Buffy’s friend zone. After the show Nicholas starred in Celeste In The City, Kitchen Confidential, Relative Chaos and had a recurring role in Criminal Minds. Recently however the actor has struggled with depression and addiction and has been arrested a number of times and spent time in rehab.
Anthony Stewart Head
Character: Rupert Giles
Anthony Stewart Head played the ultimate librarian/watcher/fountain of knowledge to Buffy and following the show he returned to his native England where he starred in shows including Manchild, My Family, Little Britian, Monarch of the Glen and Merlin. Anthony is in a long-term relationship with Sarah Fisher and they have two daughter, Emily and Daisy who have followed their father’s footsteps into acting.
Michelle Trachtenberg
Character: Dawn Summers
Michelle Trachtenberg played Buffy’s little sister Dawn from season five and went on to star in another hit teen drama, Gossip Girl as well as roles in Six Feet under, Law & Order, Love Bites and movies including 17 Again and Sexy, Evil Genius.
Charisma Carpenter
Character: Cordelia Chase
Charisma Carpenter played highschool mean-girl-turned-good Cordelia Chase and went on to cross over to spin-off Angel before starring in shows including Charmed, Veronica Mars, Greek, The Lying Game and Chicago P.D. Charisma married in 2002 but divorced in 2008, she has a son, Donovan.
