Your next binge-watching session is sorted thanks to a new show that everyone is talking about right now: The Bold Type.
The series is produced by former marie claire U.S. editor-in-chief Joanna Coles and is loosely based on her real-life experiences.
The Bold Type follows the lives of three women in their twenties who work at Scarlet magazine, a monthly glossy that’s moving away from only focusing on fashion and championing a new focus on feminism and politics.
Already into its second season in the states – critics dubbed the hit a woke version of Sex And The City with a healthy dose of Gossip Girl and The Devil Wears Prada thrown into the mix.
Meet Jane (Katie Stevens), Kat (Aisha Dee) and Sutton (Meghann Fahy), the close-knit protagonists in this addictive series that’s part drama, part social commentary on female solidarity. “Joan Didion walked through this very same lobby once,” squeals Jane, stopping to take a selfie in the opening scene – setting the tone for what’s about to unfold.
The Bold Type is now streaming on stan Australia.
