Former The Bachelor Australia star Nick Cummins is rumoured to be officially dating someone new.
Earlier this month, the 31-year-old and his long-time friend heiress Lisa Steggles got together in Papua New Guinea reports The Sunday Telegraph according to news.com.au. Cummins escaped Sydney after he infuriated fans around the country by not finding love with either Sophie Tieman or Brittany Hockley on the reality show.
“The pair have known each other for a number of years but their friendship blossomed into something romantic after they completed the Kokoda Trail together earlier this month,” reports the publication.
If her moniker sounds familiar it’s because her family owns Steggles chicken – one of the largest poultry producers in the country. Apparently, the former rugby player’s trainer James Brodie introduced the couple – Brode is dating Lisa’s sister Kirstie Steggels.
During an interview on The Project, Cummins revealed he struggled to cope during filming and said facing the backlash to his decision to walk away alone has taken its toll.
“I consider myself a pretty upbeat energetic dude and then all of a sudden you just get the wind cut out of your sails,” he said.
“I’ve never been in a mental space as low as I have been on that show.”
