How has it been being back in Australia?

Tammin Sursok: It’s been so nice to be around friends and family and have my daughter be here too.

Since you are back in Australia, would you ever consider reprising your role as Dani Sutherland and making an appearance on Home and Away?

I would do it as a gratitude thing for everything that it’s given me in my career. But I think it was such a great chapter and fun memories that’s closed. But I would definitely do it as a thank you, like a little love letter for sure.

You’ve just finished shooting a film with your husband and you both obviously work very closely together. How do you keep your personal and work life balanced?

We actually don’t do that good of a job at it because we do bring work home a lot, but we love it. We love being creative together and we love throwing around ideas and getting excited about projects and really walking through it in the same way together. We don’t do a great job of it being separate, but we definitely try to turn off every now and then.

What’s that transition from actress to actress and writer and producer been like?

Directing is something also in the cards. It’s something that came so easily just because being around that from such a young age you’re able to just almost have a film school experience. Really being able to learn different angles and different shots, so it definitely wasn’t as difficult as I thought it was going to be leaping in. So it was definitely helpful, the background I was given from Home and Away

You have been working with your daughter Phoenix recently, what has that been like?

Great! I don’t like to put her in front of the camera a lot, she like it, she likes to do things with me. As long as she’s leading the way I’m ok with it, Im definitely not going to push her into it.

Do you think she’ll follow in your footsteps in terms of acting and Hollywood?

Yeah I definitely think she’ll want to be in entertainment because I can see her love for it, but I’m going to wait until she’s 18 or older until I let her do that

You’ve been very open on your blog about wanting another child. Is that something you’re still hoping for?

Yes, we’re going to start putting that into focus in the next six months. So that is definitely something that we will be working on very soon.

Do you want a big family?

I don’t have a need for five or six kids. I just want to make sure I can give them all the attention they deserve, with always moving around. So two or three I think is where we’re sitting at.

Pretty Little Liars recently wrapped. Do you still keep in contact with your co-stars?

Yeah everyone was such a close knit family. We see each other every now and then and we always have each other’s numbers and we’re all on social media together as well. It was a big part of everybody’s lives.
