The series is an adaptation of Sherryl Woods’ popular book series of the same name, featuring 10-episodes about three best-friends who lift each other up, while juggling love triangles, family, and careers in their small Southern town of Serenity. The story follows on protagonist Maddie Townsend, who is looking to fulfill her lifelong dream of opening a spa with her two best friends after her husband leaves her for his pregnant mistress.

While the streaming service is yet to formally announce a season two of the hit series, Woods has dropped a major hint more seasons are in the works.

“I think season 2 will continue to show us, for example, what’s happening between Maddie and Cal,” Woods told Elle. “I do have some clues about where season 2 is going to go, but I think a lot of it is going to be further exploration of what’s been started this season…we’re going to see other sides of people’s personalities.”

Woods didn’t stop there, adding she believes the series will be going for many more seasons.

“But longer-term—because I’d like to believe it’s going to go longer, even longer-term than season 2—one of the things the books do is introduce a lot of characters who bring in other issues,” the author added. “Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue can’t have every issue known to every woman in the country. Their lives would be a mess if that happened. So I would like to see some character arcs where we explore other things women can relate to.”

The first season was packed full of iconic stars, with JoAnna Garcia (who you might remember from Gossip Girl) leading the series, and on-screen husband Chris Klein, from American Pie.
