Space equals luxury in the Nissan Pathfinder

My children adored it, they gave it 9 Elsa dolls out of 10, mainly for the screens and all that space.

The whole idea of a seven seater SUV freaked me out. I mean, there’s just So. Much. Car. I’ve never been particularly interested in big cars for my family of four. Was it really necessary, all this … metal, taking up space on suburban roads?

How wrong I was. I immediately loved the abundance of glorious space in the Pathfinder. Instead of cramped up and squashed in, we were spread out. Space equals luxury, I realised. It was lucky because this was the week I was tasked to buy plants for our backyard (we’ve embarked on a garden reno), so I needed a large car to ship them around

The solid feeling the drive gives you, coupled with the height and size made me feel rather formidable. This was a car I could drive the kids around in and feel safe while doing it. It just nips that whole mother-anxiety thing in the bud, or at least it did for me. It does take some strength to turn the wheel for three-point turns and reverse parking though. Will that give me toned arms if I do it regularly so is that actually a plus, not a minus? I wondered. Probably not, but it helps to believe it. Oh, and the boot space was pure heaven. Quite honestly, I could’ve had a family picnic back there.
