There’s no denying we’re in the middle of a full forced dosage of royal fever, following the nuptials of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, the announcement of a new royal baby by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the royal tour of Australia. But with our attention solidly focused on the British royal family (AKA everything Meghan Markle is wearing Down Under), yet another royal wedding managed to fly under our radar.
Over the weekend, Duchess Sophie of Württemberg and Count Maximilien of Andigné tied the knot at the Castle of Tegernsee in Germany.
Per The Daily Mail, the bride’s family are “descendants of the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg, which existed from 1805 to 1918, formerly the Duchy of Württemberg, which began in 1495.”
The bride wore a full-length white gown with a stylish boatneck – a similar style to Meghan Markle’s Givenchy wedding dress. She paired the simple dress, which once belonged to her grandmother, Diane, Duchess of Württemberg, with a long lace veil and tiara.
The groom, a French aristocrat, looked handsome in a dark suit posing for photos outside the castle surrounded by adorable young bridesmaids and pageboys.
