Zendaya and Tom Holland are reportedly engaged and no this is not a drill!
The internet went into overdrive yesterday after Zendaya was spotted wearing what looks to be an engagement ring on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Of course, this isn’t the first time a celeb wearing a ring on that finger during a red carpet walk has been misconstrued as an engagement, but fans picked up on a few telling clues. That, and sources close to the family have reportedly confirmed the news.

Sources Confirm Tom Holland & Zendaya Are Engaged
A family source confirmed to TMZ that Tom and Zendaya got engaged over the holidays at one of their family homes. It was also revealed that the sweet moment happened in private between the couple before sharing the news with their families.
Another source then told PEOPLE that “everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening.”
“He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”
Tom recently hinted at his holidays plans on an episode of the Dish podcast, sharing: “I’ll be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun. Where we’ll be is a secret,” he said. “{Secret} to you guys – I’ll know where we’re going.”
Zendaya’s Engagement Ring
Engagement rumours first began with the spotting of a ring on Zendaya’s finger—and for good reason.
Eagle-eyed fans noted that the diamond ring Zendaya wore to the Globes didn’t match other pieces the star wore from Bulgari, nor did it match the style of jewellery—an unusual occurence for a red carpet. Moreover, they managed to track down the ring suspected to be an exact match to the one on Zendaya’s left hand, which is in fact, an engagement ring.
The ring appears to be an east-west cushion diamond button back ring, with fans drawing parallels to a design by Jessica McCormack.
Zendaya’s Tattoo
It isn’t exactly an engagement announcement, but fans also spotted what may be a new tattoo for the Dune star.
A tiny glimpse of the equally tiny tattoo was eyed right on the neckline of Zendaya’s custom Louis Vuitton gown just along her bustline and it appeared to be the letter ‘T’. For Tom? We can only assume.
How Long Have Tom Holland & Zendaya Been Dating?
One of the many reasons we, along with the rest of the world, are obsessed with Tom and Zendaya has to be their love story. The couple first met set of Spider-Man in 2016 with the duo playing on-screen love interests, Peter Parker and MJ, and soon a sweet friendship blossomed.
