Three years into their engagement, reports that Sydney Sweeney and fiancé Jonathan Davino have called off their upcoming wedding have surfaced.
The couple, who started dating in 2018, have become the centre of break-up rumours in recent days.
Talk of a split first began when a source revealed to Us Weekly that wedding plans have come “to a halt.”… for now.
“Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now,”the insider told the publication.
The source went on to reveal that the Euphoria actress and her producer fiancé had planned to tie the knot in a matter of months.
“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” the insider claims. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
Adding fuel to the flames, eagle eyed fans spotted Sweeney removing photos of Davino from her Instagram, namely a photo of them kissing over the New Year. Make of that what you will.
Is Sydney Sweeney Dating Glen Powell?
Over the weekend, Sweeney was seen in Dallas with her Anyone But You co-star, Glen Powell, instantly sending the rumour mill into overdrive.
The pair were spotted spending time together as they attended the wedding of Powell’s sister. According to gossip site, Dexumoi, Sweeney and Powell were invited “independently” with both the bride and groom having been involved in production for Anyone But You.
It’s not the first time the co-stars have been the centre of romance speculation. Their press tour for the rom-com and undeniable chemistry sent the internet into a constant buzz, however, both actors denied any off-screen relationship beyond friendship.
In fact, during her Saturday Night Live monologue, Sweeney joked about the rumours while reassuring fans she was still engaged to Davino, who also worked on the film.
“Me and my fiancé co-produced the film and he was there the entire shoot. And I just want to let everyone know he’s the man of my dreams, and we’re still together and stronger than ever. He even came here tonight to support me, can we cut to him?” she said before the camera panned over to Powell.

Whether or not rumours that Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino have postponed their wedding remain to be confirmed, but the same sources have revealed the couple are still engaged.
“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” an insider told Us Weekly. Neither Sweeney nor Davino have addressed the reports.
The couple were first romantically linked in 2018 following a series of public outings together. It wasn’t long before the couple were official.
The 27-year-old has previously spoken about her desire to have a family at a young age, telling The Hollywood Reporter she “always wanted to be a young mum.”
It’s believed the couple secretly got engaged in 2022, but neither has spoken publicly about the proposal. However, Sweeney has addressed Davino as her fiancé, most notably during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
