Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are officially engaged! This is not a drill, we repeat, not a drill.
The Only Murders In The Building actress just casually dropped a series of pics, starting with her stunning marquise engagement ring, on Instagram sending fans (and us) into instant meltdown.
Simply captioning the adorable photos, “forever begins now..” it’s safe to say we’re absolutely over the moon for the couple.
Once over the sheer shock of the size of the sparkler now gracing Selena’s finger, swipe through her photos and you’ll find more adorable snaps of the two following the engagement.
In the second picture we Selena has been snapped on a picnic rug admiring her new bling, followed by what we can only guess was her reaction to Benny popping the question and the couple in a cute embrace as she flashes the ring once again.
Benny has already, adorably we might add, commented on the pos,t only affirming the news for fans, writing: “hey wait… that’s my wife”
Selena and Benny had been dating for almost two years before becoming engaged. Rumours first started whirling of a romance between the music stars in 2023, sometime after they worked on her hit track, ‘Single Soon’ together.
The singer confirmed the rumours in true form, with a subtle comment on an Instagram post about herself and Benny discussing their then alleged romance, simplye writing: ‘Facts’.
The couple have been happily sharing loved up selfies, cute snaps, and down-right adorable comment exchanges since. Not one to shy away from PDA, the 32-year-old opened up about her relationship with Benny in February, telling New Music Daily host, Zane Lowe: “Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you.”
“And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
A few months later, the Rare Beauty founder also opened up about her desire to have a baby and what that had looked like for her prior to meeting and getting engaged to Benny.
“I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it,” she told Time.
“Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone,” she went on to say.
