Riley Keough has admitted that filming a sex scene with her own husband was much more awkward than she expected.
The 33-year-old actress, who stars as Daisy in Prime’s adaptation of Taylor Jenkin-Reid’s Daisy Jones and The Six, opened up about the strange experience during an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Although Keough said she was originally onboard with her husband, Ben Smith-Peterson, playing a “random” hook-up for her character, things changed when they got on set.
“We got there and, like, [it was] really uncomfortable,” Keough said. “It was so weird.”
The actress explained that while the couple were trying to be “very professional”, they ended up “giggling the whole time.”
“I really kept feeling inclined to be like, ‘In real life, it’s not like this,’” she said. “And then I was like, ‘I’ll just, you know, keep that to myself.’”
While the couple might feel awkward about sharing their passion on-screen, we can’t help but think their love story is pretty rom-com worthy.
