Cult Accessories Label Reliquia Has Launched Its First Homeware Collection

Taking their signature resin to the lifestyle space

Accessories label Reliquia, along with its sister labels Valet and Respiro Studio, have quickly gained a cult following thanks to their signature pieces and bold designs, with the Collective becoming a go-to among the global style set. One look at the brands, and there’s no reason to explain why.

In particular, the brand’s colourful clutches made from a mix of printed resin and 18k gold became a must-have piece. And while Ana Piteira, the designer behind the collective, has continued to create bold, one-of-a-kind pieces that have become synonymous with the fashion favourite, they’re now taking that signature style to the lifestyle space.

Aeyre Home, the local label’s new homewares collection, is an extension of the existing resin styles. With more time spent at home this year, the line of glassware, candles, coasters and trays hopes to “nurture and create a comfortable, beautiful and inspiring living space.”

Speaking to marie claire of the collection launch Ana says, “After launching Reliquia and the other brands within the collective, I wanted to see how this aesthetic might be translated into the lifestyle space. I’ve been particularly inspired by the various mediums that are available in this space, including resin (a mainstay of the Valet collections) and my favourite – coloured glass. It has also been exciting to explore different senses – like the importance of smell with Aeyre’s incense and candle offerings.”

The kickstart the launch, the brand released a collection of five organic Japanese-made incense scents – Sage, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Frankincense and Lavender – and two Australian-made candles. The candles are produced in collaboration with local makers, having spent the past year perfecting the soy blend, wick and glass vessel, which is intended to be used as a decorative object upon completion of the candles’ burn.

Of using Australian makers, Ana says, “This has been a really exciting space to work in and allows us better quality control and greater ease of communication. We have worked closely on modifying and perfecting the quality of the fragrance and soy blend to ensure Aeyre candles are a satisfying and uplifting addition to the home.”

On top of the candles, the brand also dropped a collection of chic coloured glassware, as well as coasters and decorative trays in its signature resin.

“Colour and silhouette play a vital role within the home, in the same way they do when creating an oversized blouse or resin pair of earrings,” Ana explains. “These are the defining factors of our personal spaces and I’m determined to make the home comfortable, inspiring, and motivating (particularly as we spend more time there). Each element from the collection is designed to give each individual the opportunity to mix and match, expressing their own style and inspirations.”
