Which ever way you’ve spent quarantine, it seems that one thing is certain: everyone is cooking. Gaining popularity since lockdown first began, even celebrities have been posting their favourite recipes on social media.

And it looks like Reese Witherspoon is the next famous face to share their culinary knowledge.

Taking to her Instagram IGTV, the Big Little Lies star is showing us how to make her healthy, green smoothie that she’s been drinking for breakfast for the past nine years.

In the video, she explains that she first heard of the smoothie recipe from her Little Fires Everywhere co-star Kerry Washington years ago, while they sat next to each other at an awards show.

Not knowing Washington at the time, Witherspoon recalls asking her, “Your skin is beautiful! What do you do?”

Washington shared the recipe with her and admitted that it changed her skin and made her hair and nails stronger.

Including more than your daily required intake of fruit and vegetables, Witherspoon encourages adding any other greens that are in your fridge, saying: “You gotta get your greens in y’all!”.

Aside from the fruit and vegetables, she also encourages adding other ingredients like protein powder, almond butter or flaxseed.

After it is all blended into a bright-green concoction, Reese reminds us that there’s more to the smoothie than how it looks, saying “I know it looks like it tastes gross, but it tastes so good!”. She even admits to substituting breakfast for the smoothie, drinking it at around 10 or 11 o’clock in the morning.

Inspired by Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green Smoothie, the recipe makes enough for two portions, so Reese puts half away for the next day.

Most importantly, if this miracle drink can transform our skin into Reese’s or Kerry’s—we’re sold.
