From late nights to stress and questionable eating habits (note to self, caffeine is not a meal replacement!) – the daily 9-5 can leave us feeling sub par at the best of times. But when a headache strikes, it can really wreak havoc.

Even when you’ve got the best intentions, a headache can make it tough to tackle your to-do list. When it comes to pain relief, not all remedies are created equal but here are some ideas worth trying…

1. Remember to rehydrate

If your headache’s a result of overdoing it on the bubbles at last night’s work drinks, keep a water bottle on hand and sip on water or fruit juice through the day to prevent dehydration [source]. You can also consider taking a pain reliever like Nurofen Zavance.

2. Look after your eyes

Excessive amounts of time spent staring at your phone, computer or TV can cause headaches thanks to screen glare [source]. If you’re suffering from a case of screen fatigue, the 20-20-20 rule might help; every 20 minutes take a 20 second break, looking at a point in the distance at least 20 feet away [source].

3. Nurofen Zavance

Like all headache remedies aren’t the same, not all Nurofen is the same either. With a unique formula, Nurofen Zavance tablets and caplets are absorbed up to two times faster than standard Nurofen* so you can get back to business, fast.
