It was big news when Princess Eugenie somehow managed to coerce the Queen into letting her have her own Instagram account – a privilege Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been denied.
Princess Eugenie’s account, which has collected more than 200k followers since it launched in March, is peppered with selfies with her sister, Princess Beatrice, her fiancé, Jack Brooksback and #TBT flashbacks with her mother, former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson.
But during the weekend’s Trooping the Colour, Princess Eugenie, who is eighth in line to the throne, threw caution to the wind and posted a photo revealing the hallowed halls inside Buckingham Palace itself.
The rare glimpse beyond the balcony pictured her father, Prince Andrew, who was recently given the additional title of Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards, news.com.au reports.
“A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and @hrhthedukeofyork for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards,” Princess Eugenie captioned the photo.
Princess Eugenie made her Insta-debut on International Women’s Day with a video of herself speaking at the SSE Arena to raise awareness of scoliosis, which she was diagnosed with as a child.
