Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement last year, with the couple set to wed on May 19th at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. With the nuptials fast-approaching, final touches are being made and rumours are building as to what we can expect from the big day, from Meghan Markle’s wedding dress designer to Prince Harry’s best man. It was even revealed last week that future brother-in-law Prince William might be walking Meghan Markle down the aisle instead of her father.

But what about after the wedding?

We’ve been so preoccupied wondering who’s baking the royal wedding cake and admiring the official invitations, that we hadn’t even started thinking about their honeymoon.

But according to a report from the Daily Mail, a royal honeymoon to Namibia could be on the cards.

The report also detailed that the couple were planning on staying with luxury lodge company Natural Selection, supposedly making multiple reservations to keep their true location under wraps.

The couple have yet to confirm that Namibia is the honeymoon destination of choice, but the bookies were betting on Prince Harry opting for an African country, with the continent having a profound effect on the 33-year-old prince, so it would make sense. Especially seeing as he sourced the centre diamond of Meghan’s engagement ring from the neighbouring country of Botswana.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opted for the Seychelles for their 2011 honeymoon, and while Harry and Meghan are not following suit in terms of location, they might be regarding the dates, delaying the trip instead of jetting off straight after the ceremony.

There’s no word as of yet regarding honeymoon dates, but the couple are reportedly planning a ‘mini moon’ to Dublin in the weeks after their wedding, with the newlyweds already scheduled in for engagements in the capital.
