Amy Schumer has had to cancel her comedy show in Texas after being rushed to hospital yesterday for hyperemesis gravidarum.
The comedian took to Instagram to share a photo of herself from the hospital captioning the post, “Texas I am so deeply sorry. I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital.”
Schumer added that the baby is fine, “I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows.”
Because it wouldn’t be an Amy Schumer Instagram post without some comedy the Trainwreck actress joked, “Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit!”
Hyperemesis gravidarum is a pregnancy complication where the woman feels faint or dizzy and experiences severe nausea and vomiting. Whilst it most likely occurs only in the 2nd trimester, hyperemesis gravidarum can last an entire pregnancy and requires serious medical attention.
The 37-year-old thanked the medical staff in her post and promised that she will reschedule her Texas show soon, “Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and Tati! They are cool as hell! And Texas I am really really sorry and I’ll be out there as soon as I’m better.”
This is the I Feel Pretty stars first baby with her chef husband Chris Fischer.
We’re sending well wishes to both baby and mum!
