When news broke back in July that Pippa Middleton – the younger sister of The Duchess of Cambridge – was engaged, it’s safe to say the world was excited. Us included.
We’re envisioning that moment where Pippa went from Kate’s little sister to bonafide star when she stepped out in that Alexander McQueen gown all over again – and then some. No pressure, Pippa.
And while we don’t like to speculate on gossip, when there’s talk of a royal wedding (or the closest thing we have to one on horizon) we can’t help but get swept up, just a little…
So that said, here’s everything we know about Pippa’s wedding so far.
1. The when:
According to US Weekly, the big day is scheduled for May 20, 2017 with a source confirming they have already sent out the save the dates.
2. The where:
The ceremony will reportedly take place in the Middleton family’s village church of St Mark’s in Englefield, Berkshire, before 150 of their nearest and dearest will move on to the reception in her parents’ back garden.

3. The who:
Well in case you have forgotten, Pippa is engaged to hedge fund manager James Matthews. The couple first dated in 2012 before parting ways – before reuniting in 2015 and becoming engaged on July 17. According to a friend of the Bride-to-be, James got down on one knee during a romantic getaway to the Lake District in England.
4. The rock:
James popped the question with an impressive rock to say the least, the ring, reported to be worth around $350,000, is thought to be at least three carats and in an art deco aesthetic. James reportedly designed the ring himself with the help of jeweler Robinson Pelham.

5. The bridal party:
While you may be forgiven for thinking big sister Kate would naturally step into the role of Maid of Honour, just as Pippa did for her, a new report suggests that that is not the case. According to the report, The Duchess will not be her MOH for fear of upstaging her sister on her big day. “Kate would upstage her sister [if she were maid of honor],” royal author Judy Wade tells People.
“It’s a tricky situation for Pippa. She would want her sister by her side, as who else would she trust to make things go well? … But if your sister is a future queen, she is going to upstage the bride and draw attention. Kate would want to be in the background as much as possible.”
Somehow though we can’t imagine Kate simply being a guest at her only sister’s wedding, so time will tell… But surely one thing we can bank on is Prince George and Princess Charlotte being a page boy and flower girl, right?
“Princess Charlotte is going to be one of the flower girls,” a source added to Us Weekly. “They’re planning for Prince George to be a page boy.”
Phew.
