Hollywood has kept itself busy with whirlwind romances leading to super quick engagements from Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber to Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson and finally Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.
And it looks like we’ll be seeing a wedding very soon with Jonas and Chopra set to be marry by the end of the year.
It all started at the 2017 Met Gala when the actress and singer appeared together on the red carpet sparking dating rumours. After months of ‘are they or aren’t they’ they finally confirmed their relationship in June on Instagram. A month later, Jonas proposed to Chopra on her 36th birthday in London. While the couple has so far remained tight-lipped about the wedding, they have participated in a traditional Roka ceremony in Mumbai where their families met for the first time.
In anticipation of the wedding, we’ve put together all the details we know, including the location, attendees and the dress.
The Location
It’s set to be a lavish wedding as the couple has chosen the regal Umaid Bhawan Palace to hold the ceremony, according to FilmFare. Jonas and Chopra recently visited India and during the quick trip they were spotted checking out the palace. Once the home of the former Jodhpur royal family, the world’s sixth-largest private residence has enchanting views of the city, sand dunes and the Mehrangarh Fort (also another location the couple were seen at).
The Date
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the lovebirds aren’t waiting too long to make it official given their whirlwind romance. According to Times of India, it’s happening very soon with the wedding set to be a three-day event starting November 30 and continuing ’til December 2.
The Guest List
The lovebirds have a long list of star-studded friends, however, according to Filmfare, the guest list of 200 people will only include close friends and family. As most of their friends reside in New York City, Chopra will hold her bridal shower there. Of course, the big question is whether Chopra’s friend Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be attending and it’s looking like it’s a possibility. As People reports, royal protocol doesn’t forbid the Duchess of Sussex from attending a friend’s wedding.
The Dress
According to India Today, the bride-to-be has chosen who will design her dress for the big day. A source revealed that Chopra has decided to go with Indian designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and even reportedly spent six hours with them to finalise all the details. While nothing has been confirmed by the actress herself, she did wear a vibrant yellow chikankari sherwani, a traditional Indian outfit, by the couture label for her official roka ceremony.
