Lovers might come and go, but there’s one relationship that never fails us.
Netflix, we’re looking at you. You’re always entertaining, always available (even at 3am!) and never leave us for another woman (unless we’re sharing our account).
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, the data geniuses at Netflix have examined Australia’s intimate and sometimes disturbing relationship with the streaming platform, specifically everyone’s first time they binge watched a show.
So, without further ado, here are the series that Netflix users binged first in Australia overall:
- Orange is the New Black (we knew it!)
- Stranger Things
- Narcos
- Vikings
- Suits
- House of Cards
- 13 Reasons Why
- Gossip Girl
- Jonah from Tonga (yes, really)
- The 100
The streaming giant has also revealed that it takes a new Netflix user 12 days to start their first binge; most finish a season in just three days.
And if your memory is a little hazy about the first show you binged, we’ve got the solution. Visit your Netflix account page and select ‘viewing activity’. Then scroll all the way down to find the answer (we hope it isn’t as embarrassing as the first status you posted on Facebook).
