From its unflinching look inside the minds of America’s worst (or best?) serial killers, to one of the most disturbing scenes involving a pair of high heels, there’s a lot to love about Netflix’s Mindhunter.
The slow-burn crime thriller, produced and partly directed by David Fincher, follows two FBI agents who develop a cutting-edge methodology to profile criminals.
It boasts some incredible performances (shout out to literal acting giant Cameron Britton as “Big Ed” Kemper) and brooding direction.
Now, true crime fans will be thrilled to learn Mindhunter has been renewed for a second season.
Speaking to Billboard, Fincher revealed the next instalment will examine the Atlanta child murders between 1979 and 1981, which saw at least 28 African American children, teenagers and adults killed. Gulp.
Looking for another series to watch until the excruciating wait for Mindhunter season 2 is over?
Jessica Biel’s performance—and amazing bangs—has our tick of approval in Netflix’s haunting thriller The Sinner.
