PSA: It’s Officially National Wine Day

Here's how to celebrate in style (even in lockdown)

If you were in need of some good news to finish off you’re week, we have it. Saturday, May 23 marks Australia’s official National Wine Day – and while we’ve always held Christmas and New Year’s as our favourite holidays of the year, this might just take the top spot in 2020.

In honour of the special day, we thought it best to roundup just some of the many ways to celebrate the momentous occasion, of course, while safely adhering to social distancing. From taking a virtual wine tour with some of Australia’s most iconic wineries to watching a much-loved comedy with a glass of your favourite drip in tow.

Below, the best ways to celebrate this year’s National Wine Day (responsibly). Enjoy!

Take A Virtual Tour

What better way to celebrate our nation’s National Wine Day than with a virtual cellar door tasting with some of the countries most well-reknowned wineries. Some roundups of some happening below:

There’s no better time to brush up on your vino-lingo than on National Wine Day. Luckily, one of our marie claire Editors has done the hard work for you, so simply sit back with your favourite tipple and learn exactly what those descriptions you’ve been reading on the back of the bottle actually mean. Hint: it’s probably not what you think.
