Finding the perfect name for a baby can be a harrowing task. Do you settle for something classic or do you conjure up something unique?
Select the wrong name and your child may face a lifetime of mispronunciations and forced repetition.
Oh, the joys of being an expectant parent.
Fortunately, Nameberry has helped narrow the tedious search, unveiling the most popular baby names of 2017, so far.
According to the popular baby name site, which collates its rankings based on the most viewed names in the first half of the year, there have been a few changes to our future bubs list.
This year, the list reveals there has been a slight shift in the ranks, as Asher reclaims the top boy’s name from Ezra, while Olivia continues to rein as most popular girl’s name.
It also appears that we are opting for more traditional names over obscure when it comes to choosing baby names. Sorry, Rumi and Sir Carter.
Although, there is still an abundance of celebrity inspired names, including Justin Timberlake’s Wyatt (10), Kourtney Kardashian’s Penelope (9) and of course Kate and Will’s royal offspring, Charlotte (3) and George (5).
