Looking for a baby name? Then look no further than today’s list of most popular names for NSW babies for inspiration.
According to the release from Births, Deaths and Marriages, Olivia and Oliver claimed the top spot on both the girls’ and boys’ lists.
However, a Births, Deaths and Marriages spokeswoman told the ABC that there was a noticeable trend towards vintage and royal names.
William and Charlotte – both royal names – claimed the number two spot on both lists, while names like Benjamin, Henry, Ava, Evelyn and Ruby jostled for some of the top spots.
Harper has become a popular name for girls – possibly following the birth of Victoria and David Beckham’s daughter, Harper Beckham – where it was once reserved for boys.
