Model and beauty brand founder Miranda Kerr and her husband, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, have reportedly sold their LA home in the tree-lined neighbourhood of Brentwood after six months on the market.
The property was originally priced at an eyewatering $19.95 million (USD) in March, but after a few months in real estate limbo amid a softening market, the couple agreed to reduce the price by a cool $2 million, to $17.75 million.
It seems the price adjustment was enough to entice the final buyer, who managed to snap up the sprawling property for $16 million, according to TMZ.
While the final price might feel like a significant loss on paper, the couple still walked away with an impressive profit after paying $12 million for the home back in 2016.
The beautiful six-bedroom, eight-bathroom Hamptons-style home was also where the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, just a year after moving in.
Despite its high-profile owners moving on, the Brentwood block was no stranger to Hollywood royalty, with Harrison Ford calling the Macculloch Drive compound home from 1983-2021, after buying the property for the bargain price of $1 million.
According to the agent who represented both the buyer and the sellers, the renovated home was positioned on a roomy 3/4 acre block surrounded by manicured gardens with clear city views.
Miranda and Evan might have moved on from the LA pad, but the couple are still the happy owners of an impressive property portfolio, including Miranda’s 95-acre country home in Australia’s Hunter Valley, and a Holmby HIlls estate reportedly bought for close to $145 million.
