It’s not often we get the lowdown on Meghan Markle’s wellness regimen. The healthy diet and workout responsible for Duchess of Sussex’s glowing complexion are almost as elusive as Kate Middleton’s blow-dry secrets.
In the lead-up to her royal wedding to Prince Harry, several outlets claimed the couple had adopted a strict Vegan diet. Additionally, Meghan herself has previously waxed lyrical about the benefits of following a plant-based ethical lifestyle.
Despite popular belief, the royal just confirmed that she’s not in fact vegan. In a recent interview, HRH conducted with former First Lady Michelle Obama for British Vogue’s ‘Forces of Change’ issue which Meghan had a hand in curating, Meghan dished that when she first asked FOTUS to open up for the mag, they bonded over a plate of animal-based fare.
“So, over a casual lunch of chicken tacos and my ever-burgeoning bump, I asked Michelle if she would help me with this secret project,” the Duchess wrote.

Back when she was a full-time actress, she told magazine Best Health: “When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends.”
Further proving Meghan is a flexitarian – in her first post-engagement interview with the BBC, she revealed Harry popped the question over a roast chicken dinner.
