In news we can’t quite believe – but really, really want to – there might be an Australian celebrity version of Married At First Sight in the works – and the names rumoured to be attached are pretty juicy.
The news comes via New Idea, who say Endemol Shine, the company that produces MAFS, is having preliminary conversations and casting chats around a season filled with Australian talent, including ex-reality stars.
“If we want the show to keep going, we need to be bold and change things up,” a producer at Endemol anonymously told the publication.
Some of those names that are being thrown around by Endemol Shine, apparently? Richard Reid, Gogglebox star Yvie Jones, controversial I’m A Celeb contestant Ash Williams, Big Brother alum Tully Smyth, and Paulini Curuenavuli. We’d watch all of them find love, to be honest.
Apparently the production company had celebrities approaching THEM, and not the other way around. The concept “only became a possibility due to celebs in Australia already putting their hands up to take part in the experiment”.
We certainly hope these rumours are true – a Married At First Sight celebrity season would surely be the best yet.
