While the Bachelor season may have drawn to a close, we’re not exactly about to be short on ‘guilty’ viewing, with the nation’s other favourite reality series coming back on our radar.
And with season eight hitting our screens in early 2021, Married At First Sight is officially returning—with more than a new set of contestants.
Channel Nine has also confirmed a Married At First Sight all-stars spin-off that is set to air right before the new season in late January 2021—and we finally know exactly when it’s hitting our screens!
The show will be shown across two consecutive Sunday nights—with the first episode shown on January 31 and the second on February 7.
The two-part special will feature former couples and co-stars who will come face-to-face to relive their past scandals, and of course, they’ll partake in the iconic dinner party, full of the most memorable participants from all seven seasons.
Along with past favourites, the few remaining couples from the series are also joining in on the fun. Said couples will supposedly discuss how their relationships have developed, reminding Australia that reality TV couples can achieve a happily ever after.

As for which of our favourites will be returning to the MAFS screen, the list includes Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant (season six), Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr (season two), Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli (season six), Dean Wells (season five), Tracey Jewel (season five), Jessika Power (season six), Ines Basic (season six), Mike Gunner (season six), Cyrell Paule (season six), Patrick Miller (season five), Charlene Perera (season five), and Cheryl Maitland (season four).
While details about the special have remained relatively under wraps, the spin-off has already brought the drama on social media.
According to gossip podcast So Dramatic! the long-discussed MAFS’ reunion brought with its fair share of confrontations between past contestants.
“It was insane, I was disgusted to be a part of it to be honest,” one contestant reportedly told the podcast host. “It was all great down our end of the table but every time we looked down at their end they were screaming and pointing at each other’s faces.”
It’s going to have to be seen to be believed.
You can catch the Married At First Sight: Reunion Special from January 31 on Channel Nine.
