As we await the arrival of Married At First Sight‘s rumoured ‘All Stars special’, it seems like quite a few contestants of seasons past have come forward to share their disappointment over not being cast.
According to The Wash, the show has been commissioned by Nine and is expected to hit screens nationwide prior to the new season, which is set to air in late January 2021.
A two-part special, it will bring back the former couples from the show for yet-another dinner party filled with controversy and drama. And while the cast list is yet to be confirmed, there are a myriad of past contestants that the publication claims will be in attendance.
The rumoured list includes Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant (season six), Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr (season two), Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli (season six), Dean Wells (season five), Tracey Jewel (season five), Jessika Power (season six), Ines Basic (season six), Mike Gunner (season six), Cyrell Paule (season six), Patrick Miller (season five), Charlene Perera (season five), and Cheryl Maitland (season four).
However, following the announcement, an array of past MAFS stars—who are not listed above—have called out the show on social media. One of which being Sean Donnelly from the fifth season, who called out the show for seeking “ratings ratings ratings” in a comment on Instagram, and blasted the show for not asking him to participate. Agreeing with Sean, Scarlett Cooper wrote: “Yep!”.
Mel Lucarelli, from season six, shared her dismay over being alienated from the reunion as she feels that she has the most unfinished business.
“Saw this and thought it may be for the people they purposely mismatched, to this time finding them a genuine match,” she wrote.

“Nope,” Clare Verrall, from season four, wrote. And finally, Mike Gunner, who is rumoured to be joining the reunion, expressed his excitement at coming face-to-face with nemesis Nasser Sultan.
“He’s insulted several of my friends. His comments are very hurtful. I look forward to the day I meet him in person,” he wrote.

While details about the special have remained relatively under wraps, the spin-off will be filmed soon, after a few of the contestants have been spotted flying into Sydney.
Channel Nine are yet to officially confirm the special.
