Married At First Sight has got to be the craziest dating show in history.
22 single – and very brave – Australians, who are looking for their soulmate, decide to put their fate in the hands of matchmakers and walk down the aisle on their first date.
That’s right: without meeting their bride or groom.
Naturally, what follows is a lot drama, as the newlyweds try to decide whether their new marriage is forever or… not.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new season of MAFS.
When does it start?
The premiere of Married At First Sight is tonight, Monday 29th January, at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
What happens once the couples marry?
Following the ceremony, the couples are then thrust straight into married life with a few weeks to decide whether the expert matchmakers got it right, or very wrong. They meet with the experts to discuss their relationship once a week and also go on dinner dates with the other couples.
Will I recognise any of the contestants?
Yes, 54-year-old John took part in the experiment last year and is back to try his hands at love again on the show.
Melbourne-based beauty expert Sarah Roza might also look familiar. She was first on our television screens in the 2012 series of The Amazing Race Australia, which she participated in with her boyfriend at the time.
Who are this year’s contestants?
11 women and 11 men – find more about them here.
