A decade on from their breakout roles in Superbad, Emma Stone and Jonah Hill are joining forces for a stunning new Netflix series. And if the tailer is anything to go by, this could be the streaming giant’s most mind-bending offering yet.
Directed by True Detective’s Cary Fukunaga, Maniac is a dark comedy about a pharmaceutical trial gone wrong.
“Starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, Maniac is the story of two strangers who find themselves caught up in a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial gone awry,” the Netflix description reads.
Maniac’s stacked cast also includes Sally Field and Justin Theroux (who’s documentary-making cousin Louis thinks resembles him 20 years ago).

The 10-part instalment is a remake of a trippy 2014 Norwegian series, which is actually available on Netflix right now.
The series is scheduled for release on September 21, so in the meantime enjoy these teaser images.

Sad part is we are roughly same age but he looks the me of 20 years ago… https://t.co/jAq7ML9qAh
