If you’ve already binged Stan’s latest series, Love Life, starring Anna Kendrick – you’re in luck. The streaming service announced the viral rom-com has been renewed for a second season.
Love Life, the first scripted-series by the Oscar-nominated actress, is about the journey from first love to last love, and how the people we’re with along the way make us into who we are when we finally end up with someone forever. The series will follow a different protagonist’s quest for love each season, with each half-hour episode telling the story of one of their relationships.
Kendrick stars in the first season along with Zoë Chao (Downhill, Strangers), Peter Vack (Someone Great, The Bold Type), Sasha Compere (Miracle Workers, Uncorked), and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, Another Year).
Season two will remain set in New York City but will focus on a new character’s journey. The new season will explore what happens when you’ve lived your whole life knowing who your soulmate is, only to find out years into a marriage that it’s not the right fit at all. The new season will also cleverly key off characters i season one, and while she’s not the focus, Kendrick’s character Darby is expected to make an appearance.
“It’s been a labour of love working with everyone on Love Life and all who helped shaped Darby and brought her story to life,” said Kendrick who executive produced the first season. “I am so excited to be able to collaborate again with the team on a new character and their journey”.
