At the risk of getting too excited (it is 2020, after all), we’ve officially exited the murky waters of Cancer season and are finally set to receive some celestial goodness, courtesy of Leo season.
Spanning from July 22 until August 23, the sun-ruled Leo and its respective season represent a veritable antithesis to the moon-ruled Cancer and its emotional (read: moody) and reflective (read: overthinking) astro-period.
Translation? Think: fierceness, fire and the inspiration to take action. For a breakdown on exactly what it means for your sign (and which ones will be most affected), read on.
What Is Leo Season 2020 All About?
As much as we just dumped on Cancer season (the poor Crab), which also featured the madness of 2020’s second Mercury Retrograde, it actually sets us up for the lion’s turn on the calendar rather nicely.
While Cancer inspires us to turn inwards and question everything, when handled well, it allows us to emerge from the time feeling aligned and inspired — which Leo then powers up with its fiery energy, resulting in an inner (and possibly outer) glow-up of epic proportions.
How Will Leo Season 2020 Affect Your Zodiac Sign?
There’s no denying that this year’s Leo season is a bit different to the others, with the world’s collective consciousness currently focused on surviving a pandemic and fighting for racial justice in the Black Lives Matter movement.
However, this is precisely where Leo’s creative prowess, unapologetic boldness and leadership qualities may come in handy, helping to refill your cup after a month of feeling particularly drained by the world and its chaos.
Thanks to Leo’s charisma and brazen tendencies, you can feel an uptick in mood and energy across the board. This could manifest in a multitude of ways, such as feeling more excited to tackle your home workouts, more willing to express yourself in those Zoom meetings, with friends and/or on social media, and more inclined to take risks with your look and try something different with your hair (fancy a curtain fringe?), style and makeup.
Similarly, the fire sign’s enthusiastic nature may make you more open to starting things, be it a new hobby, a new way of working, reaching out to old friends and new ones to make socially distanced plans, or finally tackling old tasks you’ve been putting off for months.
All of that said, while Leo’s influence is largely positive, powerful and manifesting (like the lion itself), it’s also lazy sign that is equally happy to spend large amounts of time basking in the sun (like the lion itself), which can, despite the ‘rev up’, make you feel unexpectedly complacent or like doing the bare minimum is worth more than it actually is.
As far as the signs go, all of them are expected to feel the season’s positive push, but Leo (naturally) and (Aquarius) will feel it the most.
