If you thought ’90s film stars Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt had surely joined forces at one point in their impressive careers, think again.
Sandra Bullock is reportedly set to star alongside the Fight Club alum and Lady Gaga in the upcoming action-thriller, Bullet Train, as per Deadline.
According to Collider, the movie is based on Japanese author Kotaro Isaka’s novel Maria Beetle and follows a group of five assassins who find out that each of their missions has something in common while travelling on a fast-moving train in Tokyo.
Details about Bullock, Pitt and Gaga’s characters are yet to be released, but the publication reports the actress has signed on for a lead role alongside Pitt with Gaga featuring in a supporting role.
Being directed by David Leitch, the film will also reportedly feature performances from Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji and Masi Oka.
No stranger to a blockbuster, Bullock’s latest acting credits have included 2018’s Bird Box and the female-led Ocean’s 8. As for Gaga, this isn’t the only acting role is preparing for.
Gaga is also set to appear in Ridley Scott’s Gucci in 2021 where she’ll play Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, Adam Driver are also appearing in that project.
The musician-turned-actor is also coming off an Oscar-winning performance in the Bradley Cooper-directed A Star Is Born, while Pitt is coming off his recent Oscar-winning performance in the Quentin Tarantino-directed Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
