Kristen Bell’s Terrifying Menstrual Cup Experience Will Haunt You Forever

Back to tampons, anyone?

Kristen Bell is probably one of the most talked about women in Hollywood, never failing to make news with her honest chat and hilarious sense of humour. Both of these were on show last night, as Kristen appeared on Busy Tonight, her pal Busy Phillips‘ new talk show.

With the two clearly being very comfortable with each other, conversation immediately got onto feminine hygiene, and before Kristen Bell had even sat down she was already recounting her experience with menstrual cups, referencing a segment about them earlier on the show.

‘I’ve tried the DivaCup but I had a very weird experience with it,’ Kristen explained, saying it takes a while ‘to figure it out, or really to finger it out.’

‘A menstrual cup is tricky and takes some trial and error,’ Busy agreed, but even she had no idea how dramatic Kristen’s menstrual cup experience would be.

‘I will say to the DivaCup company that I think this was an enigma but I once got it stuck,’ Kristen explained, voicing her sadness as she had previously liked it – ‘I’m saving money, I’m saving the environment – this is great’.

‘So I was going to remove it because it was time for a change and I went to grab it but there was something that was suctioned to the wrong part of me,’ the Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress explained to gasps from the crowd. ‘And you know that feeling they say when you have a vasovagal nerve that can immediately make you pass out? Well, I pulled and I passed out.’

She continued: ‘I came to and I still hadn’t got it out so I then had to be like “OK you’ve got to brace yourself, you’ve got to grab hard, you’ve got to grab strong” and I ripped it out.’

‘After that I was like maybe it’s not for me,’ explained Kristen, concluding her story. ‘But prior to that I had had a great experience.’

Well, that is terrifying.
