Celebrity personal trainer and nutritionist Harley Pasternak, who has got the likes of Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande into shape, says that walking is the best way to burn body fat.
He spoke to Business Insider in a recent interview about why walking can be a better option for losing weight than running.

Basically, although more high intensity workouts like running burn more calories per minute, they do not actually target the fat sources on your body. Meanwhile, walking is the best way to get rid of excess fat, as it targets fat reserves first and starts burning energy from there.
He adds that high-intensity workouts usually make you want to eat more afterwards, and this ends up in a higher amount of calories.

Plus, when looking at America, the average citizen only walks 4000 steps a day. Whereas in healthier countries, the average is about 10,000.
“People want to know how do we get the prettiest bodies in the world in shape…” he said. “This is how I do it. Not being sedentary.”
