Katie Holmes Steps Out Wearing Dazzling Engagement Ring

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx sent the internet into a tailspin on Thursday when the actress stepped out New Orleans flashing a gorgeous engagement ring on her left hand.

Alas, the joy was short lived. The actress is currently on location, filming the movie adaptation of self-help book The Secret — and it turns out that ring was simply a prop.

Holmes’s rep told People that “Katie’s not engaged to anyone besides her fictional movie fiancé, played by Jerry O’Connell.”

Despite never having addressed their relationship status, Katie and Jamie have been linked romantically since 2013 and appear stronger than ever after paparazzi photos of the pair holding hands in Malibu surfaced in September. “They are really happy,” an insider told E! News. “It’s easy and they are for sure very much in love.”

The private couple only made their first public appearance together in December 2017 (although they walked that red carpet separately).
