Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin got engaged over the weekend according to multiple sources.
The singer, 24, popped the question to his on-off girlfriend over the weekend during a trip to the Bahamas and you can see the GIANT rock here.
“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks,” a source told People. “He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
And if there were any doubts, the father of the bride, Stephen Baldwin congratulated the pair on Twitter, writing, “Sweet smile on my face! me&wife (Kennya) Always pray 4 Gods will !! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB Let’s all pray for His will to be done Love you 2 so much !!! #Godstiming #bestisyettocome Congrats @JeremyBieber @pattiemallette #PraiseJesus.”
The post however has since been deleted however both Justin parents have also hinted at some exciting family news on social media.
Bieber’s father Jeremy, wrote on Instagram, “@justinbieber Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!” and his mother, Pattie Mallette, also seemed to reference her son’s engagement on Twitter, writing, “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love.”
Justin Bieber and Hailey first sparked dating rumours back in 2014, but they both denied the romance then in early 2016, Bieber posted a viral photo kissing Baldwin and numerous loved-up Instagrams followed. However, a month after that, Baldwin said she and Justin were not exclusive.
Now, two years later (and following Bieber’s split with his other on-again off-again flame, Selena Gomez), the pair have been spotted spending a lot of time together: first, a weekend away in Florida (where Baldwin was pictured running her hands through Bieber’s hair), then they went to church together (where Bieber was pictured with his arm around Baldwin), before being spotted out and about – and kissing – in NYC.
Bieber posted a photo showing Baldwin standing in the background last week, before posting an Instagram Story with the 21-year-old model sitting beside him.
