Jennifer Lopez is returning to the music world with the release of her first album in ten years, This Is Me… Now. And if that wasn’t already music to your ears, the album is also set to be accompanied by a documentary film, This Is Me… Now: The Film.
If the name of the projects sound familiar, it’s probably because they are. This Is Me.. Now is set for release just over two decades after her smash album This Is Me… Then first blessed our ears in 2002. Of course, these similarities are intentional. According to the official press release, the upcoming album is a sister album to the previous work, designed to “[complete] a 20-year journey.”
Strengthening this connection, This Is Me… Then was released shortly after JLo began her (very high-profile) relationship with Ben Affleck, who served as the main inspiration for the work at the time. The couple split, only to be reunited and get married two decades later, which also happens to coincide with the release of This Is Me… Now.
So if, like us, your interest is piqued, keep reading for everything we know about JLo’s latest venture.
What Will This Is Me…Now & This Is Me…Now: The Film Be About?
According to the official press release, the album will be JLo’s “most honest and personal” yet.
The film, on the other hand, is a “musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinised love life.”
“The film is ultimately a heartfelt ode to JL’s journey of self-healing and everlasting belief in fairytale endings. Audiences will be captivated and leave hopeful that true love can be more than a dream.”
What Is The Tracklist Of This Is Me…Now?
JLo actually teased the album way back in November 2022, by recreating the iconic cover of This Is Me… Then.

Is There A Trailer For This Is Me… Now: The Film?
Luckily for us, JLo has already dropped the trailer for This Is Me… Now: The Film.
The clip begins with the singer sitting beside a fireplace and reading what looks to be a love letter, which she quickly tosses into the flames.
Over the footage, JLo can be heard saying, “When someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always… ‘in love’.”
The trailer then transforms into a montage of clips, including one of her walking down the aisle, as JLo sings over the top, “This is me… now!”
You can watch the trailer in full here.
