Jennifer Aniston’s production company, Echo Films, is planning to remake the classic 80s film, 9 To 5 for a modern audience, according to reports from The Insneider .
The original film, which was directed by Colin Higgins, starred Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as three office workers who got back at their sexist and egotistical male boss.
The film’s title song, famously sung by Dolly Parton, was nominated for an Oscar and four Grammy Awards, eventually winning Best Country Song and Best Country Vocal Performance.
The movie also led to a five-series pin off tv-show and a stage musical in 2008, as well also loosely inspiring the film, Horrible Bosses (which stars Jennifer Aniston as the boss).
The new version of the film is reportedly being produced by Aniston, with Juno and Young Adult writer, Diablo Cody, writing the script.

At this stage, there’s no information about who’s cast in the new film or even whether Jennifer Aniston will star in the film herself.
It would also be fun to see the original three cast members make an appearance in the new film but no information about that has been released.
